Visual Arts and Design: Muscles

This week, much like the previous skeleton assignment, we were focusing on human anatomy to better improve our knowledge and skill when it comes to drawing the human form. This week we were focusing on muscles, as the nest logical step up from the skeleton. I quite enjoyed this assignment, partly because muscles are interesting to draw due to their very organic lines and curves, but also because it increased my knowledge of muscle structure, which will further improve my drawings. I began with some quick pen sketches focusing on the chest and leg, just to get to grips with drawing muscles, and to do more close up detailed drawings of the muscle areas.
